Presentation

In 1981, I specialized in color television and began writing software in Assembly language. Since then, my professional career has been devoted to electronic design and the development of software and firmware, activities that have accompanied my work to this day.

My interest in radio also began around that time. I started with CB radio, obtained my first shortwave-listener license in 1984, renewed it in 2020, and earned my amateur radio license in 2025.

A curiosity that began in childhood

From the age of about six, I loved helping a carpenter who made furniture. I helped him nail and glue pieces together and prepare furniture for painting. These were some of my earliest opportunities to learn how to make things with my own hands.

When I was fifteen, I received my first camera. I set up my own darkroom, developed black-and-white negatives and prints, and later worked with color photography using Kodak's C-41 process. I then moved on to developing slides and eventually to digital photography.

Having grown up without a father, I helped my mother from an early age to prepare food for the winter: tomato sauce, jams, preserves, and much more. I also studied yeast-leavened dough and learned to make bread, pizza, and other baked goods.

When I was around twenty-five, a herbalist friend introduced me to medicinal plants, essential oils, and their preparation. I bought my first still and later built a professional laboratory still, which I used to prepare brandy and extract essential oils.

Some time later, I began experimenting with soapmaking, eventually producing high-quality soaps, followed by creams and ointments for the body, including preparations intended for particular care needs.

I also practiced fermentation, making kombucha. For several years I held a firearms license and regularly visited the shooting range at Basse di Stura in Turin.

Radio, satellites, and the study of Scripture

In recent years, I have greatly expanded my amateur radio station. Alongside communicating with people around the world, I have devoted myself to satellite reception, receiving images and real-time telemetry from many satellites.

Another important interest has been Ancient Greek. I took lessons because I wanted to study the original texts of Scripture directly, even before the Internet became widely available.

What truly matters

I thank God for all the preparation He has allowed me to receive, for the abilities I have been able to develop, and for the many experiences I have been given.

But I want to make one statement that I consider essential.

As we read in Scripture through the experiences of men such as King David, King Solomon, and the Apostle Paul, I too have come to understand that all these things, however satisfying, are of no value compared with knowing Jesus Christ.

From the moment I personally came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, I have regarded all these things as rubbish compared with the immeasurable worth of His presence in my life.

NOTHING can replace the presence of God.

He is the true author of all things, and to Him alone belongs all the glory.
